![]() ![]() You will see all your photos from your Android phone. Now iPhoto will open automatically with a prompt to import photos from Android phone as it recognize the Android phone as a camera. 'Camera (PTP)' allows you to transfer photos using camera software and transfer any files on computer that don't support MTP. You can also change the USB connection to PTP by selecting it from the status bar while connected to the computer. Check mark the box located in front of "Camera (PTP). To change the connection, go to "Settings" and then "USB computer connection". Now you need to change that USB connection to Picture Transfer Protocol (PTP). When you connect Android phone to Mac, it typically defaults to Media Transfer Protocol (MTP), the Windows equivalent of the Android Transfer Tool. You just need to change the USB setting on your Android phone. Once you have connected your Android phone to Mac, it will automatically recognize your phone as a camera. You need to connect your Android phone to Mac using the USB cable that came with your Android phone. You can also use the Image Capture app to set Photos to open automatically whenever you connect your camera. If you have photos taken with a film camera, you can import them into Photos by converting them to digital files (using the Image Capture app and a home scanner). To organize imported photos into albums, select photos in the Imports album and drag them into albums in the sidebar. They also appear among the other days and months in your Photos library to browse them, click Library in the sidebar. If you didn’t import the photos into an album, they appear in the Imports album in the sidebar. When all photos have been imported, disconnect the camera or device from your computer. If a message asks whether you want to delete or keep the photos on your camera after they’re imported, click Delete Items to remove the photos, or click Keep Items to keep them on the camera. Import a selection of photos: Click the photos you want to import, then click Import Selected. Import all new photos: Click Import All New Items. Import into the Photos library without specifying an album: Click the Album pop-up menu, then choose None. Import into a new album: Click the Album pop-up menu, choose New Album, enter an album name, then click OK. Note: If you participate in an iCloud Shared Photo Library, choose Your Library or Shared Library from the Add To pop-up menu.
